Dr. Gupta is a board-certified rheumatologist who specializes in an integrative approach to managing autoimmune arthritis and pain conditions. She practices a holistic approach combining the latest advances in conventional medicine with safe and effective complementary therapies. Therapeutic regimens are individualized to fit the patient's needs.
A native of Philadelphia, Dr. Gupta received her MD degree from Temple University School of Medicine in 2003 and stayed there to complete her internship and residency training in internal medicine. She went on to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where she completed her fellowship training in rheumatology.
Dr. Gupta then joined UCLA where she served as Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine and Rheumatology Faculty. In these capacities, she supervised the training of rheumatology fellows and managed patients in her own faculty practice. There, she began integrating acupuncture and homeopathics into her conventional rheumatology practice. She is a second-generation practitioner of acupuncture and homeopathy and has expanded her expertise to include prolotherapy, platelet-rich plasma, mesotherapy, biopuncture, neural therapy and IV therapies. Dr. Gupta has consistently observed that patients treated with an integrative approach have better treatment outcomes and require less conventional medications in the long-run.
Dr. Gupta transitioned to private practice in 2010 in order to provide patients with the time and personalized attention that is necessary to regain and maintain good health.
She is affiliated with the UCLA-Santa Monica Medical Center and Orthopedic Hospital.
